Lafayette leaders, Erie urban renewal authority set to approve new peace deal

Revamped agreement will settle Nine Mile litigation, split revenues between communities’ planned developments

Lafayette’s City Council and Erie’s urban renewal authority on Tuesday are primed to approve their respective portions of the revived Nine Mile Corner intergovernmental agreement, a sweeping peace deal meant to settle any lingering litigation surrounding the communities’ three-year legal spat and usher in a “new era of cooperation” for the long-hostile leaderships.
