Accounts Payable Specialist | Phoenix
Job description
- Assist with the preparation of detailed Assumption Memo and Preliminary Plans to obtain and review project-specific cost estimates from general contractors.
- Track pricing and maintain a database or spreadsheet to analyze costs and trends.
- Act as an owner’s representative during the development life cycle of the project.
- Heavy emphasis on reviewing preliminary and final construction documents for completeness, constructability, identification of potential conflicts/discrepancies and generating cost savings/value engineering design ideas.
- Bid leveling and AIA contract creation using Evergreen’s master documents.
- Coordinate job set-up, site mobilization, project administration, and closeout.
- Review and approve general contractor pay applications.
- Manage project plans from bidding through construction and close-out phases.
- Review and track general contractor RFIs and submittals and follow up with design-engineering consultants for processing.
- Review and track general contractor pending and final change orders.
- Perform site visits as needed, per the direction of the VP of Construction.
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a construction-related position with emphasis on owner representation on retail projects.
- Experience and understanding of both civil and building drawings.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to review and coalesce data into a meaningful format for future analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple construction projects.
- High degree of motivation and self-drive and desire to be an integral part of a thriving business line within our company.
- Proficiency in and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam/Adobe PDF viewer.
