SCL Health closed on the $11.59 million purchase of 26.6 acres of land in Wheat Ridge, but said it hasn’t determined exactly how it will use the site.
The highly visible property is part of Evergreen Devco Inc.’s planned Clear Creek Crossing,located at the southwest quadrant of Interstate 70 and Colorado Highway 58. The development will include retail, entertainment, hospitality, employment and multifamily uses.
Sarah Ellis, communications manager for SCL’s Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, said the health system needs to evaluate the health care needs of the community in determining what it will build on site.
