EVERGREEN TO REDEVELOP NORTH PHOENIX PROPERTY
INTO MIXED-USE RESIDENTIAL AND RETAIL PROJECT
– Arizona-Based Company Names New Project “Trellis on Bell”* – 

PHOENIX – March 23, 2015 – Evergreen Development officially closed escrow and recently took ownership of 31 acres of land in north Phoenix from Western Digital Corporation, a company that previously operated a 500,000-square-foot semiconductor manufacturing plant on the site.

The Arizona-based developer plans to turn the property, located on Bell Road between 9th and 12th Streets, into a mixed-use project with retail and restaurants along with single-family homes and apartments.

“We are excited to be starting demolition on this new project, which we named ‘Trellis on Bell,’” said Bruce Pomeroy, President of Evergreen Development. “Our redevelopment plans include demolishing the existing manufacturing facility and modernizing the property by bringing popular retailers to Bell Road, along with a new residential community. We plan to recycle a very large percentage of the asphalt, concrete and metal from the obsolete manufacturing plant and use water conscious landscaping with native desert plants.”

Choosing local companies to work on the project was important to Evergreen. Butler Design Group is the local commercial architect, Whitneybell Perry Inc. is the local apartment architect, and BCS Demolition is the local demolition contractor.

Evergreen expects to break ground in early 2016, and anticipates that the development will be complete by 2018.
